Works as intended, fast delivery
One of the fastest CPU for gaming
Would of gone with 9800x3d but for extra 200 dollars I couldn’t justify it
Thankyou beast of a cpu

Far more Bang for your buck than the more expensive i9 14900, K, KS or any other variant Intel has to offer. Those extra hundreds of dollars are better spent on a better graphics processor. Don’t let anyone fool you that at 1440p the graphics are GPU bound – it’s not true. They are just MORE GPU bound and this CPU shines at 1440p.
It’s quick. In playing the Division 2 FPS jumped from 109 with a 5900X to 179 with the 7800X3D and the same RTX 4070 on Ultra.
Can it run Star Citizen? Yes, and very well at that.
I paired it with 32GB 7200Mhz EXPO DDR5 and it works flawlessly.
AIO cooler (240mm) keeps temps well below 60C in my case – far below the 89c thermal limit of the CPU.
I’m extremely happy with my new build and highly recommend it.
It doesn’t come with a fan and I wouldn’t trust a fan on it anyway. AIO is the way to go. You need a good case with radiator support, and an AIO, but avid gamers are likely to already have those.
Do yourself a favour and get the 7800X3D.
Just make sure the motherboard you puchase officially supports the ram you purchase or you might have problems, but that is the case with every motherboard on the market. RAM needs to be on your motherboard’s official Qualified Vendor List (QVL)
Definitely delivers on what all the reviews say. For gaming, nothing comes close. Outside of that, it’s a pretty standard CPU. For all other tasks, the 2007 era Xeon it replaced was just as fast.
One annoying thing that was missing from the online docs; this doesn’t come with a CPU cooler. Make sure you purchase a cooler for it, or you will be making another trip to the store.
My game performs well and finally has enough PCIE bandwidth to pass through all the data to the GPU.
Also has a integrated GPU in case if my main one dies
All this box does is game, and this does that in spades. It runs nice and cool, couldn’t ask for more. Frame rates haven’t dropped below my display’s 120Hz regardless of circumstances. Could easily overclock but there doesn’t seem to be a need.
It’s great absolutely slaps at playing video games, I love it. Get the beefiest cooler you can though to get the most out of it very sensitive temps.
Pairs great with my 5090
