The aluminium body feels great, nice and cool. If you were to add thermal padding, it could easily act as a heat sink. The ends are made of plastic. Very easy installation, just slide the end off and pull out the frame. The sata connector is on the inside of the frame, put your drive in there and slide it back in.
The enclosure does a good job of shielding 2.4ghz interference, which other USB 3 drive enclosures lack. That alone bumps this up to be my preferred enclosure as I can still use my wireless controller with it in use.
Excellent build quality
Could be a tiny bit smaller
