The USB 3.0 host interface provides up to 5 Gbps of maximum transfer bandwidth. This ensures that modern SATA SSDs are not heavily bottlenecked during large file transfers, while remaining fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports at 480 Mbps for older machines. A dedicated physical power switch and LED indicators for power and drive activity give you clear control over the connected hardware.
