Have you ever heard of taurine? Most people associate this amino acid with energy drinks but Healthwise used its power to create a supplement with several health benefits. Taurine, also called “wonder molecule“, is an amino sulfonic acid that occurs naturally in your body – particularly in the brain, eyes, heart and muscles. It is classified as a rare conditionally essential amino acid as, unlike most amino acids, it does not build proteins. Taurine is often lacking in a vegan diet as the main sources of it are meat, fish and dairy. This makes Healthwise Taurine a great assistant for individuals with a diet free of animal foods.
