I’ve been buying many brands of hdd for over 20 years and WD have often been my choice. Maybe 30 or 40 WD HDDs over the years. I can only remember 1 failure which was replaced under warranty.

This WD Elements SE 4TB 2.5″ portable hdd is their budget range. Beautifully made in Thailand it is solid and robust. It is a USB 3.2 5GBS drive, not a scorcher but fast enough! It is quiet and cool running.

I will be using it for twice daily backups but expect to sell it when it’s too small, rather than bin it because it’s warn out!

This is a very good product and exactly what I wanted. It was also reasonably priced.

Used to back up my personal data, like photo, video, docs, movies and other data.
