The instructions don’t make reference to the thermal pads for the heat sink and how to place them – however, with some common sense you should be fine.

The heat sink definitely does it’s job, can get quite warm under heavy loads on a 3000mb/s rated drive.

Transfer speeds are great, I’ve seen well north 2gb/s – I’m fairly sure I’ve been limited more on the device it’s attached to.

Only minor complaint is that the enclosure locking mechanism is a little too easy to open.
