This thing is massive, though works as expected.

I was looking for improved cooling over the standard Wraith cooler supplied with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU. Temp has dropped significantly. The unit is large with two fans and occupies more space in the case. Install was more involved than expected, requiring removal of MB to secure the mounting rails to the backing plate, which dropped down when I removed the Wraith cooler. If I was smarter I could have avoided this. Not a difficult install though. I was not interested in the RGB function

Upgrading from a stock Intel CPU cooler to this was a massive upgrade and I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. I saw all the positivity for the Peerless Assassin so thought I should get the slightly newer version and am really happy. I estimate ~10 Celsius improvement across the board (idle to 100% CPU usage) and that is probably conservative!

Only challenge was the size of the tower is so enormous that I had to adjust the first intake fan to sit higher (approximately 5-10mm) on the cooling tower due to interference with my RAM. Not a huge deal as I had a little extra height between the cooler and my case – but worth ensuring you have some extra room in case you have RAM with extra housing.

The thermal paste included is plenty for one application but I don’t think there is enough spare for a second go.

Really happy with the result and my fan speeds can now run slower due to the cooling improvement.
