Description
Built for 4K Gaming on the Blackwell Architecture
Powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, this GPU is equipped with 10,752 CUDA cores operating at a base graphics clock of 2295 MHz. The factory overclock pushes the boost clock to 2700 MHz, providing the raw computational power required for demanding 4K workloads and high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming. It integrates 4th Generation Ray Tracing Cores and 5th Generation Tensor Cores, enabling hardware-accelerated ray tracing and DLSS 4 frame generation. This combination ensures consistent frame times and high visual fidelity in modern titles. The card also supports NVIDIA Reflex 2 for reduced system latency, alongside Resizable BAR and NVIDIA G-SYNC for tear-free display output.
16GB GDDR7 Memory for Maximum Bandwidth
The transition to GDDR7 memory significantly increases data throughput. This card features 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM operating at a memory clock of 30 Gbps across a 256-bit interface. This configuration yields a total memory bandwidth of 960 GB/s, ensuring high-resolution textures and complex geometry load quickly without bottlenecking the GPU core. The 16GB capacity provides ample headroom for modern AAA games and heavy creative applications.
Hardware-Accelerated Encoding for Creators
Beyond gaming, the RTX 5080 GamingPro OC is built to handle heavy video production and streaming workloads. It features dual 9th Generation NVIDIA Encoders (NVENC) and dual 6th Generation Decoders (NVDEC). With full hardware support for AV1 encode and decode, content creators can capture and stream high-quality video at lower bitrates. The card is also VR Ready and supports NVIDIA Broadcast for AI-enhanced audio and video during live streams.
Vapor Chamber Cooling and TurboFan Blade 4.0
Dissipating up to 360W of board power requires a substantial thermal solution. The GamingPro OC utilises a High Performance Vapor Chamber paired with composite heat pipes to rapidly transfer heat away from the GPU die and memory modules. Airflow is driven by Palit’s TurboFan Blade 4.0 system, which uses a 2-ball bearing design for increased fan longevity and stability. The card includes 0-dB TECH, which stops the fans entirely during light workloads or multimedia playback for silent operation. Measuring 331.9 x 127.1 x 60 mm, this 3-slot design requires a spacious chassis to accommodate its heatsink.
Dual BIOS and Customisable ARGB
A physical Dual BIOS switch allows you to toggle between two distinct operating profiles. BIOS 1 engages Performance Mode for maximum clock speeds and aggressive cooling, while BIOS 2 activates Silent Mode, adjusting the fan curve to prioritise lower acoustics. Aesthetically, the card features ARGB SYNC EVO, allowing you to synchronise the lighting with your motherboard or other compatible components. It also supports the Palit Maker initiative, enabling users to attach custom 3D-printed shrouds to modify the card’s exterior design.
Next-Generation Connectivity and Power
The RTX 5080 GamingPro OC connects via a PCI-E 5.0 bus and requires a single 16-pin power connector. Given the 360W graphics card power draw, Palit recommends a minimum 850W system power supply. The rear I/O panel is equipped with next-generation display outputs, supporting up to four monitors simultaneously.
